Welcome to the AD6A.com website!
I have been a radio ham since I passed the RAE in England in December 1973: I was 15 years old. My first callsign (in England) was G8INR. I emigrated to the USA in August 1992 and let my G8INR callsign lapse. I took the USA ham radio tests shortly after arriving and have held the following US callsigns in succession: KE6ZBZ, KQ6FR, AD6AY, and finally my current vanity callsign AD6A which I've held for many years now. I am a homebrew microwave and HF QRP fanatic. I owned and ran a QRP kit company called Red Hot Radio for many years until 2003. The Red Hot Radio archives (schematics, layouts, manuals, etc.) are still available on this website for posperity's sake.

Cheers es 73,
Dave Fifield
